Hoosier Tidbits

Hello everyone, I am back after a long and relaxing Fourth Of July weekend. Not too much news to report for the Hoosiers right now but high school recruiting is definitely starting to pick up with the July AAU season getting underway. A couple of things to note: Carmel's 6'11 center AJ Hammons, an IU target and top national prospect, will play next season at the basketball-powerhouse Oak Hill Academy in Virginia. He will be joining another IU target Quinn Cook, who is a former high school teammate of new Hoosier Victor Oladipo.
July AAU basketball includes a number of tournaments and events taking place in Indianapolis and other close-by cities. The Hoosier Shootout out starts today and goes until July 9th in Indy. Also in Indy are the Adidas Summer Slam July 9-11th and the Best Of The Midwest July 13-15th. From July 9-12th, the Kentucky Hoopfest takes place in Louisville. Finally, the Tennessee Hoopfest goes down in Nashville July 13-16th.
Should be a lot of good recruiting news coming out in the next few weeks, so get excited!
