James Adeyanju

Curie High School in Chicago is home to James Adeyanju, the #10 football prospect in the state of Illinois for the class of 2011. Indiana fans will certainly remember another Adeyanju, Victor, who was a star defensive end for the Hoosiers from 2002-2006 and has been playing for the St. Louis Rams ever since. Hoosier fans should be hoping that Victor has been in younger brother James' ear about continuing the family legacy in Bloomington. James' list of suitors is pretty extensive, but Indiana stands out because of this connection. I'm not sure how many players Bill Lynch can still afford to sign this summer but he has already offered James and hopefully he will decide to follow in his brothers footsteps. Getting James would also help Lynch's staff to build up a recruiting pipeline to the Chicago area. There are a few Chicagoland natives on the roster right now (Marc Damisch, Mitch Ewald, Matt Perez, Teddy Schell, to name a few) and the more Lynch can bring in, the better Indiana will look to prospects in the future.

  1. I met their father when taking a cab from O'Hare to Oak Park. He certainly liked the fact that I went to I.U.,so here's hoping that his other son goes there as well.
