Rodger Saffold signs rookie deal

The St. Louis Rams have locked in one of the key players that should be protecting the top overall pick this season, Sam Bradford. Former Indiana Hoosier Rodger Saffold signed a deal with the team today and is expected to be an immediate starter at right tackle this season, with veteran Jason Smith making the switch to left tackle. Saffold, the 33rd overall pick in the 2010 draft, inked a four-year deal for $6.728 million, $3.9 million of which is guaranteed cash money. There have been a number of Hoosiers making the jump to the NFL in the past few years, including Super Bowl savior Tracy Porter.
