Points of Interest

Sooo, a lot of things have happened (and ended up not happening) in the past couple of days. Here's the scoop:

* Peter Jurkin is expected to make his college decision sometime today (Monday), and Indiana looks to be the clear choice. He also holds offers from Clemson and South Carolina, as well as interest from a number of other schools, but his ties to Bloomington and the continued interest from the IU staff makes Indiana the most likely option for Jurkin. This would be a HUGE commitment it for the Hoosiers, due to both his size and potential and his connections to other big prospects in the class of 2012, namely Hanner Perea.

* There were also rumors that Hanner Perea was ready to pull the trigger this weekend with his body Peter Jurkin, but it turned out to just be bad information. Perea has said that he will not be making a decision any time soon, but the fact that he is down to Indiana and Baylor, is transferring to an Indiana prep school, makes frequent visits to Bloomington, and is great friends with Jurkin are all very promising facts. It doesn't matter when he commits, as long as he chooses the Hoosiers.

* Warsaw guard Nic Moore has committed to Illinois State University. The Redbirds are getting a great prospect in Moore, who lead his high school team to a state championship last season as a junior. Moore had interest from a number of high major teams, but had yet to receive an offer from any of them. ISU could be getting quite a steal here.

* If you get CBS College Sports Channel (CSTV), then you can check out a number of IU targets in action tonight at the finals of the adidas Nations Experience. At 7pm ET, Latin America takes on Africa in the third-place game. This game will feature Peter Jurkin, Hanner Perea, and Obij Aget. After that is the championship game between USA 2011 and USA 2012. In this game, you can see Cody Zeller, Michael Chandler, Yogi Ferrell, and Wanaah Bail.
