Hoosier News Bites

* Junior college prospect Robert Goff has set up a visit to Bloomington for October 2nd. Goff has become a higher priority for Crean's staff after BJ Young committed to Arkansas over Labor Day weekend. Goff is considered to be one of the top prospects on the junior college circuit and will play one more season at Hutchinson Community College in Kansas before entering D1 as a junior in 2011. Goff is an Indianapolis product who played high school ball at Broad Ripple. Robert holds offers from a number of programs, most notably Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Cincinnati.
* 2013 prospect Darryl Baker will visit Indiana on September 25th for the Hoosiers football game against Akron. Baker's cousin is Edward Wright-Baker, a redshirt freshman quarterback currently playing for IU.
* Another 2013 prospect, Collin Hartman, was interviewed recently by Inside The Hall. Tom Crean reportedly had an in-home visit today with Hartman, as well as with 2014's Trey Lyles. There have been a number of rumors circling around Lyles and a possible verbal commitment, but so far no substantial news to report. He is an AAU teammate of 2014 Hoosier commit James Blackmon Jr., a Spiece team coached by Blackmon Sr.
* Coach Crean has a visit planned for tomorrow with his top priority, Cody Zeller.
* Other visit dates to report: Jeremy Hollowell (2012, #39 overall), who was at Ohio State this past weekend, will be in Bloomington Sept. 18th. Basil Smotherman (2013), who is said to be high on both Indiana and Purdue, will be in town the same day.
