Verdell Jones sprains ankle in practice

According to Zach Osterman from Inside The Hall, junior Verdell Jones III suffered an ankle injury in practice Sunday and was seen walking with crutches. The extent of this injury is unknown at this time, but The Hoosier Source will provide more information when it becomes available. Jones is arguably the leader of this Hoosier team, so losing him for an extended period of time would definitely be detrimental. Luckily, this is a preseason injury so if he misses a couple of weeks he will not miss many significant games. The Big Ten season does not start until December 31st with a home game against Ohio State.
