The Newest Hoosier, Mr. Zeller
As predicted by many experts, Cody Zeller has made the official announcement that he will be attending Indiana University. Cody chose the Hoosiers over North Carolina and Butler in a press conference this afternoon in his high school gym the Hatchet House.
Bottom line: this commitment was absolutely essential to the return of Indiana basketball. Cody is a solid 5* prospect and a true big man. He is often regarded as the best Zeller in the family and stands at 6'11. But Cody will serve as a huge recruiting tool for Tom Crean. Just like Austin Etherington did with Cody, the two of them, along with Hanner Perea and Peter Jurkin perhaps, will continue to work on convincing their pal Yogi Ferrell to commit next.
This is truly a momentous day for the Indiana basketball program and for Coach Tom Crean.
