Tonights matchup: IU vs. Ferris State (Exhibition)

Tip-off at 7pm ET
The Hoosiers play their second and final exhibition game this evening when they take on the Ferris State Bulldogs. FSU is part of the NCAA Division II Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) and the campus is located in Big Rapids, Michigan. The tip-off is scheduled for 7:00p ET tonight at Assembly Hall in Bloomington.

Here's a little information about the Bulldogs, courtesy of IUHoosiers.com:

"Bill Sall is in his 10th year as the head coach at Ferris State, compiling an overall mark of 122-121. Ferris State played an exhibition game on October 28 and defeated Aquinas, 69-39. Preseason Division II Player of the Year Justin Keenan led the way with 24 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Daniel Sutherlin added 18 points.
The Bulldogs return two all-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference players (Keenan and guard Darien Gay), along with seven letter winners from a 16-13 team."

A simple look at the roster shows that they are a bigger, more experienced team than IU's first opponent Franklin College. The competition should be better this evening and the young Hoosiers are in for more of a true test of their ability to play together as a team. Their 89-37 win over Franklin had a lot of positives, but moving forward the Hoosiers will need to cut down on their turnovers (they had 16), get to the free throw line more often (shot only 15) and shoot a higher percentage from the line (made only 8 of their 15).

As with the first exhibition game, the only live broadcast will be at BigTenNetwork.com and requires a paid subscription. However, the game will broadcast on tape delay Wednesday at 4:30p ET on the Big Ten Network.
