Cody Zeller named to McDonalds All-American roster

Washington (IN) senior Cody Zeller was named to the annual McDonalds All-American roster this afternoon. Zeller will play for the West squad, coached by the staff from St. Joseph High School (Westchester, IL). Cody is the third member of his family to receive this honor (Luke in 2005 and Tyler in 2008), making the Zellers the first trio of brothers to play in the game. He is the first MDAA to play at IU since Eric Gordon in 2007, and the 25th for the school overall.

The West squad also features Michigan State recruit Branden Dawson (Gary, IN) and UK-bound Marquis Teague (Indianapolis), giving Indiana three total players which is the most of any state this season. Hoosier senior Jeremiah Rivers' younger brother Austin will be there, as the Duke-bound star is Rivals' number one overall prospect in the class. Kentucky has the most committed players in the game (4), followed by Duke (3) and a few others with 2. Joining Zeller and Dawson in the Big Ten are Ohio State signees Amir Williams and Shannon Scott. Two Chicago prospects will take part in the game, as well. Morgan Park's Wayne Blackshear (Louisville) and Perspectives' Anthony Davis (Kentucky) will both play for the West team.
