New on the radar: PF Jamari Traylor
According to Eric Bossi from, coach Tom Crean and staff have formerly offered a scholarship to 2011 big man Jamari Traylor. The high school senior is currently prepping at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida but is originally from Chicago (Julian). He played AAU ball with Meanstreets alongside top prospect Anthony Davis. You can read Bossi's article here, provided you have a subscription to the site. Traylor has reportedly received offers from Indiana, Kansas, St. Johns, Minnesota and Virginia Tech. He is an athletic big man, with major hops and a Big Ten build. He is listed by Rivals as 6'7" 212 lbs and has been described by some as a banger who can do the dirty work without the ball, but still put up numbers if needed. Traylor definitely fits a need for this current Indiana team. Even with Cody Zeller coming in next year, the front court is weak and could get even weaker with off-season transfers. We will keep you updated as more Traylor news becomes available.
