Jamari Traylor to Kansas
According to Dustin Dopirak, IMG Academy big man Jamari Traylor has committed to the Kansas Jayhawks. Traylor was considering Indiana, at one time making an unofficial visit to Bloomington. He chose Kansas over IU, Texas Tech and Oklahoma State. Most believed that for the past weeks it has really been between the Jayhawks and Cowboys, though Indiana was often listed as being still in play. Traylor is a Chicago-native who blew up on the recruiting scene after transferring to IMG in Florida for his senior year. Astonishingly, he has only been playing organized basketball for three years. He originally made a name for himself on the AAU circuit last summer when he was running with Anthony Davis and Meanstreets. The 6'7" forward recently moved to #141 overall in the updated Rivals150 list. Traylor's IMG teammate DeAndre Daniels pushed back his scheduled announcement to Thursday morning. Daniels is a high profile recruit (ranked #10 overall by Rivals) reportedly deciding between Texas and Kansas.
